With decisive wins by McMaster (94-63 over RMC in which freshman Victor Raso had 22 points), Western (78-53 over Laurentian including 49-18 at the half; Ryan Barbeau and Andy Wedemire 18 points apiece) and Windsor (94-55 over York; 74-40 after 3 quarters Issac Kuon 20 points), the OUA West captured 5 of 8 interlocking games against the OUA East. The five other games already described produced some dramatic finishes as the OUA regular season kicked off.
