Injured shoulder not changing way Whitty plays
Coming off a season of being named to the Ontario University Athletics' all-rookie team, Brock guard Joel Whitty was looking to take the next step in his basketball career.
Unfortunately, a few weeks into the pre-season, he injured his shoulder and missed three weeks. The Ridley College alumnus returned to the lineup in time for the start of the regular season, but the shoulder still isn't right.
"I'm waiting for an MRI and who knows how long that is going to take?," the 19-year-old said following Brock's 68-62 loss to the University of Toronto Varsity Blues Friday night. "But it doesn't matter though."
