QSSF Weekend

Four games on tap in the "Q" beginning Friday night as Bishop's visits McGill where the Redmen come off a confidence-building come-from-behind win against Concordia as 6'10" freshman Nick Langley came off the bench for his strongest effort of his young career with 17 points in 28 minutes to lead McGill. Bishop's comes off a heartbreaking loss to the Stingers in which they led virtually the entire way before falling short late. Concordia travels to Laval to face the undefeated Rouge et Or who come off a bout of the flu that sidelined several players for a lengthy period and necessitated the rescheduling of their game last weekend against UQAM. Stingers 6'3" Vali Lazarescu, a transfer from William & Mary, scored 24 points last weekend in the loss to McGill.

In the quriky QSSF schedule, UQAM Citadins are idle this weekend. After Friday night's game at Laval, Concordia buses home to face McGill on Saturday afternoon at 4 PM in a rematch of last weekend's affair. The Redmen will have played five games already by the end of this weekend vs. only one for UQAM. Laval also must go out on the road after their game on Friday as they visit Lennoxville on Saturday night to face the Gaiters.

"Q" League Standings

UQAM 1-0
Concordia 1-1
McGill 1-2
Bishop's 0-1

Friday's Games
8 PM ET Bishop's at McGill

UQAM should have played twice, they didn't because the game vs ULaval was canceled last weekend because of the flu problem in coach Paiement's team. We will have to wait until november 29th to see the result of this re-scheduled match-up.
