Toronto 84, Western 68
The Blues garnered a split on the weekend and finished the first half at 5-3 by setting a blistering pace from downtown in the second half, led by 6'2" Nick Magalas, who hit back-to-back 3's late in the third quarter to start a game-deciding run, and 6'8" Nick Snow who had 25+ points in the game and was dominant inside as the Mustangs generally decided not to double down. The Mustangs stayed close until late in the third on the fine inside play of 6'5" Andrew Wedemire. Varsity played a zone "d" for much of the third quarter, primarily because of their difficulties dealing with Wedemire, the smooth fifth-year forward who has had his way inside when guarded one-on-one. More to come...
