Lakehead 78, Laurentian 69

"Out-worked" in the first half as Lakehead coach Scott Morrison put it, the T-Wolves remained undefeated with a stellar second half effort defending and on the defensive glass to come from behind and defeat Laurentian in Sudbury. Lakehead used a strong fourth-quarter to break a tie early in the final frame led by another balanced attack, led by Andrew Hackner's 17 points, Yoosrie Salhia's 12 point/12 rebound double double and Greg Carter's 13 points were key. As is becoming customary, Carter did a great job defending helping to hold Laurentian sharpshooter Manny Pasquale to 2-12 from the floor. 6'6" Matas Tirilis had a 14 point/12 rebound double double for the hosts. It will be very difficult for voters to not notice Lakehead in this week's Top 10 rankings.
