Dalhousie 82, UNB 66

In a game played at Fredericton H.S. because of a malfunction of the basket at UNB's gym, the Tigers used a third quarter run to push a 7 point halftime lead to double digits and then pushed the lead to 20 early in the fourth to defeat a scrappy V-Reds team. Stats were compiled on the computer however at this time have not been made available. In a high scoring first quarter, the teams stayed reasonably even as the V-Reds were able to break Dal down off the bounce and created led by point guard Antoine Parks while V-Reds bigs faced up and the result was early foul trouble for 6'7" Sandy Viet. However, Dal's Andrew Sullivan had one of his better games of the year, hitting several big first-half shots to give Dal a big lift and 6'9" Joe Schow helped pick up the slack for Dal, leading them in scoring while UNB's Michael Anderson was their best player. UNB hosts St. FX tomorrow night while Dal heads home with a 1-0 record in their only game of the weekend.
