#3 Calgary 87, Trinity Western 77

In a foul-filled game Friday in Langley, the Calgary Dinos (8-1) fought off the home-standing Spartans of Trinity Western, as Robbie Sihota, 5th year post, filled it up in the second half to finish with 23 points, and ice a big road win over a highly - rated Pacific opponent. Sihota hit one big shot after another to allow Calgary to pull away in the 4th quarter. After having taken a 26-12 first quarter lead, Calgary watched Trinity storm back to tie at 39 by half-time.

Calgary was in foul trouble for much of the second half, and eventually lost Jamie McLeod, Terrence Blake, and Dustin Reding with 5 each. Turnovers cost the Spartans dearly as their guards didn’t look comfortable against an aggressive Dinos defense. The Dinos had 18 pts. from Jarred Ogunbemi-Jackson, who also was everywhere at the defensive end. TWU had 17 from Jacob Doerksen, who had help from guard Daniel Horner, who was the only Spartan to hit from the outside.
