Canada West Round up

Alberta (3-0) 74, Winnipeg (0-3) 56 The Bears claim a solid road win at the Duckworth Center as Jamaal Bucknor gets 16 points and 7 boards while freshman Jordan Baker finishes with 15. The Bears led by 9 at 37-28 at halftime and extended the lead to 13 after three quarters. After a Wesmen run got the game back to within 9 early in the fourth quarter, Alberta quickly pushed away to their largest lead at 21 and coasted to the victory. Peter Lomuro led Winnipeg with 18 points.

Calgary (3-0) 86, Manitoba (1-2) 67

Saskatchewan (1-0) 91, Brandon (1-2) 68 The Huskies scored the first 8 points of the game and then later finished the first quarter on 17-5 run to lead by 15 after 1 and never gave up a double digit lead from there in dominating the Bobcats. Showron Glover had 29 points while Nolan Brudehl added 16 points and 7 rebounds for Saskatchewan, which finished the first half on a 22-5 run to lead going away at 53-25. Dany Charlery finished with 15 points and 5 boards for Brandon.
