Utah State 65, Trinity Western 40

Quayle Leads Aggie Men Past Trinity Western, 65-40 Senior point guard scored a game-high 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting

LOGAN, Utah - Senior guard Jared Quayle hit five three-pointers and finished with a game-high 19 points, while junior forward Tai Wesley added 17 points to lead Utah State to a 65-40 win against Trinity Western in its final exhibition game of the preseason Saturday night in front of 8,962 fans inside the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Utah State scored the first 15 points of the game and led 36-9 with 4:40 remaining in the half, taking a 30 point, 44-14 lead into the intermission. The teams basically traded baskets in the second half as both clubs emptied their benches early. Utah State's largest lead was 34 at 59-25 with 12 minutes left in the game. Calvin Westbrook was the only Spartan in double figures with 11 points as Trinity shot just 18% in the first half and 26% for the game.
