AUS Action

In a game that was over very early, Cape Breton hammered Acadia 113-75 in Sydney. CBU led 58-31 at halftime as Tremaine Fraser and Chris Noddle each had 21 in a balance effort for the Capers, who shot 53% from the floor on the night. The Capers forced an astonishing 36 Axemen turnovers on the evening, including 8 by freshman Anthony Sears and 7 by sophomore Casey Fox.

UNB 101, UPEI 86 The Varsity Reds pulled away in the fourth quarter to secure their first AUS regular season victory of the season and kept the Panthers winless. Michael Anderson had 32 points including a 15 for 16 effort from the free throw line as UNB shot 42 free throws. The Panthers were whistled for 32 fouls on the night against 17 for the hosts. UPEI, which turned the ball over 24 times, got 24 points and 11 rebounds from Manock Lual and 21 points from point guard Terrence Brown. The teams meet again tomorrow afternoon in the lone AUS matchup.
