Howard Tsumura continues his usual stellar job covering all things Canada West in today's Vancouver Province including recaps of last night's Canada West - West Division games plus a preview of UBC's trip to play a pair of U.S. Division 1 teams including the Oklahoma Sooners in Norman where over 10,000 tickets have already been sold. Let's hope the T-Birds can build on the success paved by McMaster yesterday.

"We got a lot out of it," insisted Seahawk coach Mike Deane after his freshman-laden squad was victimized by the Canadian team’s experience, including a 31-point, 11-rebound effort from former Brown University star Keenan Jeppesen.

Defence first for young Vikes

For five consecutive seasons, the Vikes have been the best at preventing the other teams in the Canada West conference from scoring. The defence is expected to again keep the team in games, but the biggest question mark for the Vikes is who will do the scoring.
