Scores from last night: TWU wins at Utah Valley State

Trinity Western 77, Utah Valley 58 The Spartans came away with the second road win for a CIS school vs. NCAA Division 1 team this season by comfortably defeating the Wolverines in Orem, UT. With score tied at 35 at halftime, Jacob Doerksen and Louis Hurd led a 19-8 early second half run to give TWU a double digit lead, culminated by back-to-back 3's from Hurd. A subsequent 11-4 run, highlighted by another Hurd 3 gave the Spartans an 18 point lead with 5 minutes to play and TWU coasted the rest of the way. Doerksen finished with 28 points and 11 rebounds including 4-7 from 3 while Hurd had 17 of his 20 points and 5 of his 6 3's in the second half as TWU's Doerksen, Hurd and Tyrell Mara combined to go 12-22 from downtown for the game. The Spartans shot a scorching 57% from the floor in the second half including 8-15 from downtown. TWU continues their tour of Utah with a game at Brigham Young University in Provo. GAME STATS

Montana State 82, Saskatchewan 68 The Huskies got down big early but then finished the first half on a 16-2 run to lead by 1 going into the intermission after Showron Glover's 3 to beat the first half buzzer. Saskatchewan retained the lead until about 7 minutes remaining when Montana State hit a three and then the Huskies had trouble scoring the rest of the way. Game Report

Oklahoma 93, UBC 53 The Sooners went 13 for 23 from downtown, led by 12 at halftime and then used a 55 point second half to defeat the T-Birds. Josh Whyte had 21 points to lead UBC. BOX SCORE and Game Report from Sooners site
