- Ottawa was on fire shooting above 50% for both halves, including several tough mid-range buckets from Warren Ward
- Ottawa shot 53% from the field and 60% from 3pt land
- Ottawa's switching man defense disrupted LU's offense more than it should have, but was effective in limiting post touches in the first half
- Lakehead's bench was unable to find an answer for the first time this season as it collectively went cold shooting 6-27 and 3-23 before the game was out of hand
- While lakehead had 1 more offensive board than Ottawa, Ottawa really capitalized on their second chances

Lakehead is overrated.. not saying they're bad, but they probably won't go more than .500 in OUA West play. That league is too deep and nobody will be taking them lightly anymore. When they don't hit their shots, they will struggle to win. Yoosrie is a beast and Carter is a great catalyst, but the rest of the squad can be defended if the opponent scouts and executes effectively.
It was interesting listening to the audio on Saturday - the announcers made it very clear that the T-Wolves were not getting all of the favourable calls that they got on Friday against the
Ravens. With the dreadful quality of the webcast, it was very difficult to make a personal assessment on the difference the calls alone made. Give Ottawa credit as they really showed up for the game, and knocked the T-Wolves down a long notch going into the Christmas break.
