Queen's (15-7, 9-4) 77, Ryerson (5-17, 4-9) 69 6'5" freshman Jon Ogden had 15 of his 18 points in the first half, propelling the Gaels to a 22 point halftime lead and Queen's withstood some difficult foul trouble to hold off the Rams in Toronto. Queen's had their read and react offense going, knocking down multiple jumpers to go into halftime up 45-23. 6'3" Simon Mitchell made sure that Ryerson did not come all the way back with another solid all-round effort controlling play, finishing with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists while 6'6" Mitch Leger had 19 points, 9 rebounds while battling foul trouble. 6'7" Boris Bakovic had only 5 points at halftime and only 7 after 3 quarters but did his best to try to bring the Rams back with 18 fourth-quarter points including three deep 3's but the Gaels were full value for the win. The Gaels continue to play without 6'3" Ryan Hairsine and 6'1" Baris Ondul, both out with injuries with Hairsine likely out for the year after struggling to recover from an operation to remove bone chips from his ankle.
Ottawa (17-5, 11-2) 91, Laurentian (3-19, 2-11) 70 Seven different Gee-Gees scored during a game-breaking 18-2 run to end the first quarter as Ottawa led by 19 at 33-14 after one and cruised to an easy win in Sudbury. With Laurentian trailing by only 3 at 15-12, Ottawa scored the next 8 points and then followed with a 10-2 run to pull away. The Gee-Gees led by 29 points after 3 quarters and then played their bench in the fourth. 6'4" Josh Gibson-Bascombe led Ottawa 21 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists while 6'5" fourth-year forward David Labentowicz added 19 points, 5 rebounds. The Gee-Gees shot 69.4% including 10-16 from downtown, had only 3 turnovers and had 8 different players score including 3 in double figures in the first half alone. Follow the game via LIVE STATS!
McMaster (11-8, 6-6) 73, Lakehead (8-11, 6-7) 66 5'10" Jason Scully had 4 3's including the final dagger with about 4 minutes remaining as the Marauders picked up an important road win in Thunder Bay. Mac led by 3 at the half and extended their lead to as much as 15 in the third quarter. The Wolves did bring it back to within 4 with about 5 minutes remaining in the game but then Scully's three was the key shot in a 7-0 run that jumped the lead back to double digits and the Marauders were not threatened thereafter.
Carleton (19-0, 13-0) 73, York (4-19, 2-11) 54 All 12 Ravens who dressed played at least 10 minutes as 6'7" Kevin McCleery led the way with 15 points and 9 rebounds while 6'7" Aaron Doornekamp had 10 points in only 10 minutes as Carleton led early and romped. Carleton again got a solid defensive effort from 6'4" Ryan Bell, who held York's leading scorer 6'3" Tut Ruach to 3-15 shooting and only 9 points.
Toronto (19-6, 10-3) 82, RMC (0-20, 0-13) 55 Freshman Drazen Glizic had a career-high 18 points to lead the Varsity Blues.

I noticed from the box score Aaron Doornekamp only played 10 minutes against York.
I sure hope that was because Smart was playing his whole bench and decided to give the big guy the rest of the night off.
