FINAL 8 Information
The CIS Nationals are less than 2 months away and the organizing committee is working diligently to ensure that fans have the most positive experience possible. The CIS web site was recently updated with relevant information for fans, both in the Capital Region and across Canada, wanting to attend. Here are some hopefully relevant facts to consider as you plan your trip to the watch the Nationals in Ottawa. For last season's Capital Hoops Classic, Carleton University organized free shuttle buses for fans in the downtown area - my guess is that there are similar plans for the Nationals - I'm trying to confirm. I can speak to the quality of the bars/restaurants at Scotiabank Place including Marshy's, which has been a solid pre-and-post game spot, usually with bands and plenty of partying. There are six restaurants in all in the building including the Ledge Carvery & Bar, Local Heroes Hockey Country Lodge, Club Red, Senate Club, Frank Finnigan's and Marshy's. Feel free to email/comment if there are other items that aren't covered in this initial summary. Here is the official CIS Final 8 page
