Axemen Pound Reds Again; UPEI sweeps MUN

Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies go out to the families and friends of the entire community of Bathurst, New Brunswick after yesterday's devestating accident involving high school basketball players and coaches.

Once again, Neate Sager does a great job recaping the weekend that was in the CIS with a focus on the OUA East. He gives readers a first view of what happened in the Top 10 on the CIS Blog.

Acadia (9-1) 105, UNB (0-11) 59 The Axemen built up leads of 30-5 and 82-35 after 3 quarters to hammer the Varsity Reds for the second consecutive day as 6'5" Leonel Saintil had 29 points and 16 rebounds.

UPEI (5-5) 85, Memorial (0-10) 79 The Panthers had all five starters in double figures led by 6'3" Andrew Black with 27 points while shooting 62% for the game to sweep winless MUN.
