Laval (12-8, 6-2) 83, McGill (11-9, 5-4) 60 6'3" J.F. Beaulieu-Mahieux had 25 points including 3-5 3's while 6'7" J.P. Morin added 25 points and 12 boards as Les Rouge et Or pulled away in the third quarter, openg up a 27 point lead to crush McGill in Montreal. Beaulieu-Mahieux shot 10-16 and is rounding into the form that made him last season's CIS Freshman of the Year. 5'9" Xavier Baribeau set the tone early with 2 long 3's and dished out 8 assists in another stellar effort at the lead guard position for Laval, which meets Bishop's at home in Ste. Foy tomorrow night.
UQAM (3-8, 2-5) 73, Bishop's (6-9, 2-5) 66 In a foul-filled game, the Citadins three veterans led the way to an important road win that pushed UQAM into a tie for the fourth and final playoff spot in the "Q". 6'2" Sam Johnson had 14 points including 3-7 from 3 while 6'4" Mario Joseph had 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists as the Citadins forced 24 Bishop's turnovers and led by 10 after three quarters to earn the win. 6'4" Kevin Boucher, another experience UQAM veteran, had 11 points and 8 rebounds while 6'7" Herman Tesfaghebriel had 18 points and 7 boards before fouling out, joining 6'2" Junior Nicolas, who had 14 points before also fouling out.
