CIS Tonight: Clan at UBC; X at SMU

8 PM AT/ 7 PM ET StFX (15-7, 6-3) at Saint Mary's (17-6, 6-3) Probably the most heated rivalry in the AUS continues tonight at the Tower in Halifax as the X-Men come off a disappointing home loss in which they squandered a late third-quarter, nine point lead against CBU. The Huskies have won 7 of their past 9 games and defeated X 86-70 on the final day of the first half also at home. Look for the big matchup to be inside where CIS freshman-of-the-year candidate 6'8" Islam Luiz de Toledo will square off against 6'5" Ike Uchegbu. Both teams love to get out and run, get to the rim and play pressure "d". This is a signature CIS rivalry and expect another tremendous matchup tonight in Halifax.

7 PM PT/ 10 PM ET Simon Fraser (9-10, 8-7) at UBC (14-3, 12-3) In a rematch of last week's overtime win by the T-Birds in Burnaby, the Clan needs a victory to solidify their hold on third place while UBC is just one game ahead of Victoria now in the loss column in advance of their meeting at UVic on Friday. No word on the status of 6'3" Chris Dyck, UBC's best offensive player, who played sparingly on the weekend due to injury. UBC Internet webcast with Wilson Wong plus the possibility of LIVE STATS!

Howard Tsumura of the Vancouver Province has a nice piece on Simon Fraser's 6'7" center Greg Wallis, who is in the midst of an all-conference season with the Clan Clan star all business
