Huskies Sweep Pronghorns
Saskatchewan (7-5) 93, Lethbridge (0-12) 79 In a game that was tighter than Friday nights, 6'7" Andrew Spagrud again delivered a dominant performance, going 11 for 15 from the floor to finish with 36 points and 7 rebounds as the Huskies pulled away in the second half to defeat the host Horns in Lethbridge. It was only a 4 point game at halftime but Saskatchewan steadily grew their lead in the third and fourth quarters to sweep the weekend and leave Lethbridge winless on the regular season. 6'1" freshman Quinn Van Gaalen led the Horns with 20 points while Shawn Nelson added 17. Touted newcomer Danhue Lawrence from Toronto shot 4-16 to finish with 14 points and 4 rebounds while going 0 for 8 from beyond the arc and was charged with 8 turnovers before fouling out.
