Canada West cracks down on TRU's Gleddie

In a somewhat-surprising move, Canada West announced today via the CIS website that Thompson Rivers Head Coach Nevin Gleddie has been handed a two-game suspension for accumulating more than 5 technical fouls on the season. Gleddie was handed a total of three technicals this past weekend in Regina and Brandon, giving him a total of seven "T's" on the season. If I am interpreting the press release below correctly, once a coach in Canada West is assessed his 6th technical foul of the season, there is a formal suspension handed down. Gleddie will not travel with TRU for their pair of games this weekend at Simon Fraser and Trinity Western. Thompson Rivers is in last place in Canada West's Pacific Division. Long-time U of T Varsity Blues, Lethbridge and Canada Basketball Head Coach Ken Olynyk, now the Athletic Director at Thompson Rivers, will travel with the team according to the press release. Gleddie suspended
