OUA West Action Resumes Tonight

Three games in the OUA West tonight in London, St. Catherines and Waterloo as the tight race for first place and playoff spots could get a little clearer... then again it could get murkier.

8 PM Windsor (11-5, 7-4) at Western (12-8, 5-6) The Lancers had a 16 point victory at home over the Mustangs last Wednesday night and Western needs this home win to get back in the race for first place. Windsor, which got a strong effort from 6'3" Isaac Kuon as well as nice contributions from their bench on Saturday against Mac hopes to have 6'5" Kevin Kloostra back in the lineup. The Mustangs have won 5 of their last 6 CIS games overall and are 4-2 at home in league play although they have won their last 3 home league games.

8 PM Waterloo (7-14, 4-8) at Brock (12-10, 7-4) Freshly ranked in the Top 10 by the coaches, the Badgers begin a stint of 8 home games in their next 11 to finish off league play and are in a favorable position to grab a first-round bye and the West regular season pennant because of how tough they are at Ben Avery Gymnasium. The Badgers hammered the Warriors in Waterloo by 14 last Wednesday. Live video webcast apparently is available vis SSN

8 PM Guelph (12-6, 7-4) at Laurier (8-12, 5-6) The Gryphs hit the road in the midst of a streak during which they've lost 4 of 5, all at home, but with a big road win at Windsor in between. Guelph is likely to have 6'3" Nick Pankerichan back in the lineup to face the Golden Hawks, who usually play very well at home. Laurier comes off a split with Lakehead at home on the weekend and needs a victory to stay in the playoff hunt.
