OUA West Tonight

Three games in the OUA West this evening that should bring more clarity to the playoff race... although then again maybe not...

8:00 pm Windsor (17-5, 13-4) at Guelph (15-9, 10-7) The Lancers can virtually sew up first place with a win. A Gryphon victory would keep them within striking distance of Brock for second place. The guard matchup of 6'1" Ryan Steer and 6'3" Nick Pankerichan is interesting while 6'8" Greg Surmacz battles with 6'9" Duncan Milne in an intriguing matchup in the post. Guelph defeated the Lancers in Windsor in the first league game after the holidays in early January.

8:00 pm McMaster (12-12, 7-10) at Waterloo (7-20, 4-14) A must-win for both teams with Warriors being officially eliminated with a loss. Mac has some work to do to avoid missing the playoffs for the first time in 32 seasons. The Marauders defeated the Warriors in Hamilton 10 days ago. 93.3 CFMU

8:00 pm Western (16-10, 9-8) at Laurier (11-15, 8-9) The Hawks can move a lot closer to clinching a playoff spot with a home win while Western wants to cement their spot for a home playoff game. The Mustangs staged a second half rally to defeat Laurier at home about 10 days ago. The game is available for viewing over the Internet on HawkCast
