QSSF Citadins forge three-way tie for second

UQAM (7-7) 92, Concordia (7-7) 80 The Citadins had six players in double figures and overcame another herculean 31 point effort from 6'1" Damian Buckley to draw into a three-way tie for second with the Stingers and McGill in the "Q". UQAM has forged a tremendous second half, winning 7 of their past 9 games after starting the season off with 5 consecutive losses. With the victory, the Citadins own the tie breaker if they end up tied with Concordia. With one more weekend remaining in "Q" league play, second place and a home playoff game (also avoiding red-hot Laval in the first round) is up for grabs. Look for Alex Tourigny's game recap later today on the site.

QSSF STANDINGS
Laval 13-2
UQAM 7-7 (at McGill, LAVAL)
Concordia 7-7 (BISHOP'S, at McGill)
McGill 7-7 (UQAM, CONCORDIA)
Bishop's 2-13

Remaining Games next weekend:
Bishop's at Concordia
UQAM at McGill
Laval at UQAM
Concordia at McGill

The Redmen control their own destiny, playing both UQAM and Concordia at home. If McGill sweeps their games at home next weekend, they finish second. Otherwise, it gets interesting. Concordia must finish ahead of UQAM and host Bishop's and then finish with a date at McGill. The Citadins have probably the toughest schedule, playing at McGill and then hosting first-place Laval. NOTE: McGill trails the tie breakers with Concordia (down 2-1 in games and -33 in point differential) and UQAM (down 2-1 in games and -44 in point differential).
