Thursday's Late Canada West Games

Fraser Valley (13-12, 12-10) 74, Victoria (14-13, 13-8) 66 6'3" Doug Plumb had 28 points on 11-17 shooting including several key hoops down the stretch and added 5 rebounds to lead the Cascades closer to third place in the Pacific Division. The Vikes shot only 48% from the free throw line in the loss. UCFV can still finish third although the Cascades need help from Trinity Western, which must defeat 3rd place Simon Fraser tonight and then the Cascades must knock off 1st place UBC on Saturday. Brandon (23-6, 18-2) 91, Winnipeg (12-14, 9-11) 70 6'5" Adam Hartman had 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the Bobcats over Winnipeg, who were again with 5'9" Erfan Nasajpour and 6'6" Dan Shynkaryk. 6'3" Dany Charlery added 22 points and 7 rebounds as Hartman and fellow fifth-year senior Yul Michel were playing their final regular season game of their careers at home.
