Today's Action

My ability to get to a computer today is limited as I am travelling and my laptop's modem is fried. Here are the key games today in the CIS:

OUA WEST PLAYOFFS Quarter-Finals

1 PM Laurier at Guelph The teams split their season series but Guelph has been playing well recently and the Hawks limped to the finish line losing several in a row. Still, both teams are capable of putting it together.

2 PM McMaster at Western The Mustangs won both regular season games handily as Mac had trouble defending 6'6" Brad Smith. Expect Mac's young backcourt to see pressure. The game is available on Western radio via the Internet (go to westernmustangs.com)

OUA EAST Semi-Finals

8 PM Queen's at Carleton The unbeaten Ravens host Queen's which handily won their quarter-final playoff game on Wednesday at home against York. Gaels Head Coach Rob Smart has never defeated his younger brother in an OUA league or playoff game. The game will be broadcast on Rogers Television - check your local listings.

CANADA WEST PLAYOFFS continue tonight with UBC, Calgary and surprising Regina looking to end their respective series and advance to next weekend's Canada West Final Four. For sure UBC radio and Calgary webcast will be carrying the games LIVE!. Go back to my earlier post on Thursday to get the links.

AUS
Big game is the first of two between Saint Mary's and Cape Breton in Halifax. Saint Mary's needs to sweep both games to have any hope of finishing second while the Capers need only a split and they will finish second, regardless of what St. FX does at MUN as they own the tiebreaker between the two teams.

QUEBEC UQAM must defeat Laval tonight and then hope Concordia defeats McGill on Sunday to have any hope of finishing higher than fourth.

UQAM can still clinch 3rd place tonight with a win since they have the tie-breaker with McGill and Concordia.
