#8 Windsor (18-5, 14-4) 86, Guelph (15-10, 10-8) 72 The Lancers used a solid third quarter run to move even closer to clinching top spot in the OUA West with a win at Guelph. 6'8" Greg Surmacz led the way with 27 points on 13-18 shooting and added 8 rebounds, while 6'1" Ryan Steer added 19. Windsor also got solid contributions up and down their bench including 8 points from Matt Handsor and 8 from Monty Hardware. 6'3" Nick Pankerichan went 4-5 from 3 and had 16 points while 6'9" Duncan Milne and 6'3" Jay Mott each had 17 to lead Guelph. The Gryphs loss brings second-place Brock that much closer to clinching second place and a first-round playoff bye. St. FX (20-8, 11-4) 90, Saint Mary's (21-9, 10-6) 76 The X-Men led comfortably throughout the game, holding high scoring 6'2" Mark McLaughlin to only 4 points as X had 3 players score 20+ points including Christian Upshaw (22 points, 6 assists, 4 steals), 6'3" Dwayne Johnson (21 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals) and 6'2" Tyler Richards (20 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds). X stretched their lead in the second quarter with an 11-2 run including 5 consecutive hoops in transition as SMU was slow to convert defensively. Upshaw's breakaway dunk ignited the crowd and gave X their largest lead at 14 midway through the third quarter. 6'5" Ike Uchegbu led all scorers with 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskies, who played without 6'1" point guard Mark Ross, who was serving a one-game suspension after being charged with two technical fouls against UNB last week.
