This was not apparent to me the one and only time I watched the interview however, upon further review, I think Neate brings up a tremendous point which reinforces the notion in much of the Canadian mainstream media that going to the States is by far the better option. Don't blame the media, it feeds on what it is fed and only communicates what it sees. Unfortunately, it is not immediately apparent that steps are being taken to change the present view - right or wrong - that the media has about Canadian university sport relative to the U.S. or any other organizations. The long-time lack of action in that regard leads to the assertion that it just isn't very important to change that notion, which is unfortunate. Bickering over the Bekkering interview
