AUS: Acadia pulls away late to top Dal
#4 Acadia (19-5, 13-2) 72, Dalhousie (13-13, 7-7) 62 6'5" Leonel Saintil and 6'5" Sean Berry led a game-deciding run midway through the fourth quarter, breaking open a very tight game as the Axemen moved into a tie for first place with Cape Breton after a key road win in Halifax. Saintil (19 points, 15 rebounds) had key buckets in the final 3 minutes when the Axemen "d" stiffened to allow Acadia to escape despite committing 28 turnovers on the night and shooting only 60% from the free throw line. 6'5" Drew Stratton led Dal with 17 points and 6 rebounds and battled the physical Acadia fron line all night in an aggressive game during which Dal's 6'5" Germaine Bendegue was cut open for several stiches in the third quarter. Berry led all scorers with 21 ponts while 6'8" Achuil Lual had 9 points and 10 boards for Acadia. 6'1" Simon Farine added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the Tigers, who hurt themselves by shooting only 10-21 (48%) from the foul line and 33% as a team from the floor. Acadia also outrebounded Dal 48-35.
