York 72, Western 70

In a wild finish, 5'11" David Tyndale knocked down a dramatic step back 18 footer from straight away with 1.1 seconds remaining to give the Lions a come-from-behind win at home.  With about 30 seconds, remaining, Western had the ball with the score tied and grabbed at least 2 offensive rebounds but could not convert and after a foul  and time out, the Lions flattened out for Tyndale who made no mistake from just inside the bowl.

The Mustangs seemed to have the momentum up 4 after a driving layup by 6'6" Garrett Olexiuk on a fine feed from 6'5" Andrew Wedemire with about 2 minutes remaining.  But 6'4" Ostap Chioly singlehandidly brought the Lions back with a pair of clutch back-to-back 3's, both from the same spot on the floor on the right.  Chioly then created a turnover with a deflection but the Lions could not convert, setting up Western's final prolonged possession and then the clutch shot by Tyndale in what was a tremendous game.

After trailing 40-33 at the half, York used an 11-4 run off the start of the second half culminated in a breakaway slam by 6'10" Dejan Kravic to tie the score at 44.  The game was extremely tight the rest of the way in what was one of the more exciting games in this young season, complete with several big shots.
