The Hawks scored the game's first 14 points and then after a brief spell in which the Gaels got some back door layups to bring the game to 22-10, Laurier erupted to dominate in Kingston. The Golden Hawks owned the glass, outrebounding Queen's 30-17 by the half and 65-37 for the game, including 22 offensive rebounds. The Hawks also kept 6'2" Dan Bannister in check, although Bannister has been plagued by an injury that his limited his preparation time. 6'5" Kale Harrison had 16 of his team-high 18 points in the first half while 6'5" Max Allin also had 18 for the Laurier. 6'6" freshman Pat Donnelly was effective, especially on the glass, grabbing 9 of his team-high 14 boards before halftime while scoring 14 points.
Laurier finishes their two game tour of Kingston tomorrow afternoon at 3 PM against RMC while the Gaels host Waterloo tomorrow night.
