Alberta Golden Bears (5-1) at Trinity Western Spartans (6-2) ... this match-up easily makes our ‘Series of the Week’, with the Bears coming off 3 straight wins, and enjoying the play of the 1-2 punch of Jordan Baker and Daniel Ferguson. Ferguson leads Canada West scoring at 25 ppg, and shoots 56% from 3 pt. range, while Baker averages a double-double with 18 ppg and 11.3 rebounds. Both these teams can shoot, with Alberta getting the edge from 3 pt. range at 42% to the Spartans’ 37%. The rebounding goes to TWU, who have a +15 margin, tops in the league, with Alberta at +3 per game.
