Cascades host Eastern foes in preseason

The University of the Fraser Valley men's basketball team will host a pair of CIS teams in preseason action this week at Envision Athletic Centre.

The Cascades will take on the University of Windsor Lancers Thursday at 8 p.m., and Laval University Rouge et Or on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The games figure to be a good test for the up-and-coming Cascades.

"Both Laval and Windsor are at the top of the Quebec and Ontario league year in and year out," noted UFV head coach Barnaby Craddock. "I think it is a real sign of the changing times, that we are now hosting CIS teams of this caliber, and it will be a great test for our program to see where we stand. We are looking forward to the challenge, and know it will help us as we prepare for the start of league play in two weeks."
