Maine Fort Kent 89, UNB 70

The Reds go just 1 for 8 from downtown and allow their opponents to go 14-24 from three-point land, a huge factor in their 19 point loss to the NAIA team. UNB travels to Kingston to meet RMC (Friday night) and Queen's (Saturday night) this weekend.

Bengals upend Varsity Reds

Maine Fort Kent used balanced scoring and strong three-point shooting in defeating the University of New Brunswick Fredericton 89-70 Thursday evening in men’s college basketball action in Fort Kent, Maine. The Bengals (1-1) made eight of their fourteen threes on the night in the second half and had six players reach double figure scoring as they were able to jump out to a 20 point lead mid way through the first half in dropping the visiting Varsity Reds to 3-3 on the year.
