Calgary 74, Western 57 The Dinos held Western to only 24 second half points to pull away after leading by only 3 at the half. Calgary's big 3 front line of 6'8" Ross Bekkering (18 points, 14 rebounds), 6'6" Robbie Sihota (15 points, 9 boards) and 6'9" Tyler Fidler (14 points, 7 rebounds) led the way. Calgary outrebounded the 'Stangs 45-32 including 19 on the offensive glass as the bigger, more experienced Dinos were dominant inside. 6'6" third-year forward Garrett Olexiuk shot 10-12 from the floor and finished with a game-high (and possibly career-high) 23 points. A pair of newcomers for Western, 6'5" David Harder (13 points) and 6'1" Marcus Barnett (10 points) were also in double digits for the Mustangs, now 1-1 vs. CIS competition on the young season. Dalhousie (3-0) tangles with the host Laval Rouge et Or (2-5) in the second game of the first night of this three-game, three-day tournament in Quebec City.
