The Huskies began their pre-season with a decisive win against Lakeland College as 5'10" Showron Glover had 29 points and 5 steals while fellow 5'11" guard Mike Linklater added 13 points, 12 assists and 5 steals in what Huskies hope is a preview of things to come from this ultra-quick and potentially very exciting back court. 6'4" Duncan Jones, who missed the last 6 weeks of last season due to injury, showed no ill effects with 19 points, all in the second half. 6'8" veteran forward Troy Gottselig added a 10 point/10 rebound double/double for the Dogs, who will visit Ottawa next weekend to participate in Carleton's House-Laughton Invitational.
