Usually try to find campus newspaper-produced articles later in the week however men's basketball just doesn't seem to be topical at this point save for a couple of places...

Marauders win Redbird Classic (from the Sil with some interesting (and familiar) quotes)

If anyone doubted the McMaster men’s basketball team’s intent to contend in the CIS this season, this past weekend’s tournament at McGill University will have proved them wrong. The team won the Redbird Classic after a massive second half comeback in the final game against the Ottawa Gee-Gees, going undefeated in the tournament and pushing their preseason record to 5-0.

Electric youth: New Stingers impress in win over York Lions

Evens Laroche finished off the visiting York Lions with an emphatic two-handed alley-oop in the fourth quarter on the way to a 56-49 victory for the Stingers at Loyola.

The new-look Stingers squad started slowly, as Con U tried to work several new faces into a line-up that lost four starters from last year’s Quebec championship team to graduation.

Finally, former Waterloo Warrior Jeff Fox continues his wonderful job writing about all things basketball related on his Hoops Manifesto site and recently had an article published in the distinguished basketball journal Basketball Times, probably the oldest and most renouned basketball magazine over the past 40 years. His article on the success of Dave Smart and the Carleton Ravens was recently published by the respected magazine.

Mark, love your blog. But you should rename it "CIS Men's Hoops", since your coverage and comments of the women's side of CIS Hoops isn't just lacking, it's non-existent.

Perhaps you should start a blog on Women's basketball! Mark's history is men's bball! Go in the street and ask 100 people who won the WNBA title this year....there is your answer!
