Once again, the Ravens jump out to a substantial first quarter lead.
So far, through three games against CIS opposition, Carleton has not trailed even once.
The Ravens have outscored their opponents by a whopping 73-28 in the first ten minutes.
Carleton played without Mike Kenny, who is out with some mysterious ailment.
Fortunately, the Ravens have received strong play at the PG position from freshman Phil Scrubb and 4th year veteran Willy Manigat, who may be the most valuable transfer since Rob Smart.
Last night especially, when the Ravens were faltering in the 4th quarter, Manigat delivered in the clutch, invoking memories of Osvaldo Jeanty.
After seeing a lead as big as 18 points dwindle down to five, Manigat took charge, scoring key 3 pt baskets and taking it to the hoop to draw fouls.
Amazingly, Manigat did not start (Scrubb was the starting point) but he was the 6th man off the bench, a role he seems to relish.
Monty Hardware was Windsor's best player, single handedly bringing the Lancers back into the game with his 21 points and five 3's.
This game was essentially decided on the foul line. Carleton made 21 of 27 FT's while Windsor made eight of only 13 attempts.
Also, apart from Hardware, Windsor made only two other 3 pt shots, while Carleton was 11-25, with 5 players contributing at least one 3.
