Waterloo 73, Bishop's 71

From the Waterloo basketball site... The Waterloo Warriors won their second game in as many nights as they defeated the hometown Bishop's Gaiters 73-71. Like Friday night, the Warriors built a good lead and Bishop's fought back into the game. The Warriors held a 24 point lead midway through the third quarter. Bishop's tied the game at 69-69 with 1:03 left to play. The Warriors made 4 of 6 free throws to close out the game with a two point win.


Tim Rossy matched his career high of 18 points in leading the Warriors in scoring. Luke Kieswetter added 17 points. Freshman Mike Wright hit for 13, while Alan Goodhoofd had a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. Cam McIntyre, injured in the Naismith final game, did not play.

The Gaiters also had four players in double figures, led by Sean Monplaisir with 12 points. Ryan Steele and Alex Audette-Genier added 11 points each.
