Huskies, Dinos win in Saskatoon; set up Championship game tonight

Saskatchewan 84, Queen's 34  The Huskies hammered the injury-riddled Gaels, playing with only 8 healthy players.  Saskatchewan held Queen's to just 5 first quarter points and led by 30 at halftime and by 52 after three.  6'2" fifth-year wing Trevor Nerdahl led Sask off the bench with 17 pts (5-8 3FGs) while 6'8" newcomer David Neufeld had 13 pts, 6 rebs while 5'10" guard Jamelle Barrett added 12 pts, 6 stls. and fellow guard 6'2" Rejean Chabot 11 pts, 5 stls.  Bernard Burgesson led Queen's with 9 pts, 5 rebounds.  Game Stats  plus Saskatoon Star-Phoenix article

Calgary 73, Brandon 61    Down 10 after one, the Bobcats closed to within 6 by halftime but the Dinos extended to a double digit lead for the win.  6'0" fourth-year newcomer Keenan Milburn, a first team all-star from the CCAA Men’s Basketball championship at SAIT last season, powered the Dinos with 19 points going 5 for 6 from downtown while Dustin Reding did his part with 12.  Brandon got 13 points from Kyrie Coleman while O’Brian Wallace had 10.
