Acadia 83, Guelph 82

Another miraculous finish in Guelph, this time with the home side coughing up a 5 point lead with 35 seconds remaining as Axemen 6'8" sophomore forward Owen Klassen hit a pair of 3's and the Gryphs turned it over on the final possession to take a disheartening loss.  Klassen's first 3 in the final minute brought the game back to within two and then 6'2" Dan McCarthy missed a three with 11 seconds remaining.  Klassen then followed with another 3 to give Acadia a one point lead and almost immediately thereafter McCarthy turned the ball over with 4.6 seconds remaining and the Axemen hung on to even their record at 1-1 for their tour of Southern Ontario which ends tomorrow afternoon when Acadia visits Brock.  Guelph heads out east for games against X on Thursday and Dalhousie.
