York 96, Brock 88

After a slow start at the Mickey Place UPEI tournament, York Lions came away with an impressive win over the Badgers, breaking Brock's three-game winning streak.  With the Badgers leading comfortably by 7 early in the third quarter, the Lions proceeded to outscore Brock by 22 points during the next 8 minutes to claim their largest lead at 15 with 8 1/2 minutes left in the game.  Brock had led by 3 at halftime.

York's imposing front line of 6'10" Stefan Haynes (22 points on 8-11 shooting, 5 rebounds) and 6'10" Dejan Kravic (19 points, 11 rebounds) were instrumental in the win as York shot 54% from the field as a team and had 40 points in the paint.  5'11" David Tyndale had 23 points on 4-7 shooting from downtown for York, offsetting another tremendous offensive performance by 6'2" Mike Cruickshank who singlehandidly kept the Badgers in the game with a tournament-high 33 points while adding 4 rebounds and 4 assists.  6'1" fifth-year point guard Andrew Kraus added 24 for the Badgers.
