Western 74, Guelph 60 The Mustangs rode a strong second quarter to a double digit halftime lead and then were rarely threatened in the second half to defeat Guelph in London. 6'5" Andy Wedemire had 27 points (9-16 shooting) and added 12 rebounds while 6'0" reserve guard Brett Lawrence added 12 for Western. Once again, the Gryphons offense was dominated by 5'11" pg Mike Petrella with 32 points while 6'2" Dan McCarthy added 16; the two of them accounted for almost 2/3rds of Guelph's scoring. 6'4" Jonathan Moscatelli, playing his second game after missing 4 games with a wrist injury, had only 2 points in 37 minutes.
McMaster 69, Brock 66 6'6" Cam Michaud (16 points/8 rebounds) broke a tie with a strong "and 1" with about 4 minutes to play, giving the Marauders the lead for good as Mac fortified their hold on a playoff spot with a victory in St. Catharines. The Marauders built first half leads of 10+ but Badgers 6'2" guard Mike Cruickshank came out on fire, leading an 8-0 run early in the third that got the game back to even and the lead never got higher than 3 either way. Cruickshank (13 points with 6 turnovers) nailed all 3 of his three pointers in the third quarter alone but the Marauders were able to get themselves in the paint when it mattered and forced several turnovers by double teaming ball screens, coming up with stops at the end to sweep the season series from Brock. 6'1" Andrew Kraus had 21 points to lead Brock.
