Cape Breton 106, Saint Mary's 93
The Capers moved to 15-1 on the season and inched that much closer to capturing the AUS regular season pennant with a victory at the Tower in Halifax over the Huskies. Saint Mary's drops to 6-10 and with only 4 two-point games remaining needs at least one or possibly two wins to be ensure themselves of a playoff spot. The teams meet again tomorrow in Saint Mary's final home game of the season and then SMU has two road games at Dalhousie and another road game at Acadia - all two point games. With 18 points currently, the Huskies remain in fourth place in the AUS but have three other teams within 6 points of them with several more games and points on the table. We hope to have more details on this game later. Here is the AUS playoff possibility breakdown prior to today's CBU/Saint Mary's game.
