Bears invade Huskies den: Canada West Weekend Preview

Most interesting matchup of the weekend in Canada West is Alberta's visit to Saskatchewan to face the Huskies, who come off a huge come-from-behind victory at Trinity Western to split their weekend series in Langley.  Other important meetings include Regina Cougars hosting UBC, a series in which the hometown Cougars could make an impact with one or two home wins and Manitoba visiting Calgary.

The Alberta Golden Bears have won 5 straight and 7 of 8 in Canada West, but now face their biggest challenge of the season, as they go on the road to play the 14-4 Saskatchewan Huskies, the defending Canada West and CIS Champions. Alberta has wins over UBC, Victoria, and Regina, plus they are coming off a pair of solid wins over the Manitoba Bisons (99-80, 83-49), but they are up against the ‘Big Dogs’ now.
