Ross Bekkering is following brother Henry’s lead as he recently signed a contract with ZZ - Leiden , a mid-level squad in the Dutch Eredivisie League. Leiden, one of Holland’s oldest towns, now with a population of 120,000 is situated in South Holland on the Old Rhine River, just 20 km. north of The Hague, and 40 km. south of Amsterdam.
ZZ-Leiden actually bested Henry’s new team, Gas -Terra Flames, in playoffs last season, but Gas Terra was promoted to Euro-League play. Henry and Ross will meet in Dutch League games this season. More on the brothers Bekkering as they start training camp with their teams soon.
