Capital Region fans get their first look at one of the two Ottawa teams this evening as Carleton Ravens face New Mexico State Aggies at the Ravens Nest at 7 PM. Aggies are 4-1 on their tour of Canada entering the final match tonight against the Ravens (Saturday's schedule game against the Ottawa Guardsmen alumni has been cancelled).
The Aggies were in Trois Rivieres last night and hammered the Kia All-Stars 102-74 Kia featured former Laval Rouge et Or All-Canadian J.P. Morin and former McGill Redmen Nicolas Pronovost.
On Wednesday, a group of Montreal stars with ties to Concordia, McGill and CEGEP clubs defeated the Aggies . The article refers to the club as Dawson College however the Montreal side was not Dawson's current team. Included on the Montreal team were 6'4" Matthew Thornhill (McGill graduate), 6'3" Kyle Desmarais (incoming NCAA D1 transfer who sat out last season and is scheduled to play for Concordia Stingers this coming season) and 6'4" Evens Laroche (Concordia), who faced off against his younger brother Hernst Laroche, New Mexico State's point guard.
