Canada 69, France 58

Disappointing crowd of just under 3,000 at the ACC; those who didn't go missed seeing an aggressive group who is playing together and, last night, scrapped out a victory against a historically-strong France playing with NBAer's Boris Diaw and Nicolas Batom.

The teams meet again tonight at the ACC.

Canada's remaining pre-World Championship tournament schedule:

August 17-19: Acropolis Eurobank International Tournament in Athens, Greece
August 21-23: Efes Pilsen World Cup in Ankara, Turkey

Canada kicks off the 2010 FIBA World Championships in Turkey in about two weeks on Saturday, August 28th against Lebanon (which has former Ottawa Gee-Gee Ali Mahmoud in their rotation), a Group D matchup. Group D includes Canada, France, Lebanon, Lithuania, New Zealand and defending Olympic silver medalist Spain.
