Gareau spent the 2006-07 and '07-08 seasons with the University of Regina Cougars men's basketball team, but was ruled academically ineligible for the '08-09 campaign. He didn't go to school that year before taking classes last year to requalify for CIS action.

Now eligible to play again, the 6-foot-7 post has rejoined the Cougars for the 2010-11 Canada West season.

Saskatoon Star-Phoenix article: Neufeld back bigger and stronger

Coming back following nearly a three-year absence from Canadian Interuniversity Sport basketball, David Neufeld won't have to adjust nearly as much as teams need to adapt to a new David Neufeld.

The time away treated him well. He is bigger and stronger, faster and fitter, older and wiser.

"It feels great," Neufeld said this week in preparation for the Graham Construction Shootout tournament, which runs today to Saturday at the PAC on the University of Saskatchewan campus.
