University of Great Falls (NAIA D1) 87, Lethbridge 60
The severely undermanned Horns put up a valiant effort, leading 17-14 after one quarter but were then held to just 6 second quarter points in a decisive loss to Great Falls. Randy Davis (6'4" 5th-year wing, Red Deer, Alberta) had 30 points for U of L; Davis was the only Horn in double-figures. Lethbridge again played without 6'2" starter Julian Spear Chief-Morris who is out with a leg injury. The Horns did welcome back 6'1" Quinn Van Gaalen. Unfortunately fellow guard Zach Humphrey is scheduled to have season (career?) ending knee surgery in Spokane on Thursday. Lethbridge went 0-3 during the Holidays against U.S. schools and meet the Alberta Golden Bears this weekend as Canada West play resumes.
