uOttawa Gee-Gees rookie coach James Derouin announces his first recruit for the 2011-12 season with the commitment of 6'6", 180 lbs. Vic Gill from Kanata Sacred Heart and the Ottawa Guardsmen club program. Gill is a face up shooter with deep range who will stretch defenses. As Gill adds strength and bulk to his frame and gains the foot speed necessary to guard perimeter players consistently, expect him to have an impact on the Gee-Gees program. Here are a couple of pieces from recruiting sites on Gill, who plays on Sacred Heart with prized Acadia recruit Sean Stoqua and is coached by ex-Manitoba Bison Tony House in high school.
